Foam rollers are ideal for thinner paints, so if you are thinning down your emulsion,(Emulsion can be thinned with water. In fact, many paint manufacturers suggest that you thin down emulsion paint in certain circumstances. For instance, if the plaster you’re painting is thoroughly dry, it’s a good idea to thin down the paint) Then the rollers are perfect for this. if you are not thinning down I would recommend the short hair mohair roller ( our stockcode  G4440)
