🪚 How to Use the Amtech 12-inch Bi-Metal Hacksaw Blades
1. Choose the Right TPI for the Job
Select the correct blade for your material: lower TPI (fewer teeth) for wood and plastic, higher TPI for metal and finer cuts.
2. Secure the Blade in the Hacksaw Frame
Insert the blade into a compatible 12-inch hacksaw frame with the teeth facing forward (away from the handle). Tighten securely for safe use.
3. Mark and Position Your Cut
Use a pencil, marker, or scribe to clearly mark the cut line. Clamp the material if needed for extra stability.
4. Make Smooth, Controlled Cuts
Use steady, forward strokes with light pressure. Let the blade do the work—avoid forcing it to reduce wear or snapping.
5. Swap Blades as Needed
Keep spares from the set nearby so you can easily change TPI to suit new materials or replace a worn blade on the spot.
