Thanks for the question, In my experience it is quite difficult to get a drain unblocker through a 90 degree turn.

It can be done with a lot of pushing and pulling and rotating of the handle, But it can take time.

When i have needed to i have always found a chemical unblocker better if the blockage is past a 90 degree angle.
