Hi Susan, no such thing as a stupid question, only a stupid answer! If you depress the small black buttons on either end of the E0260 hand sander, the end caps will be released. Cut your sand paper sheets to 85/ 90mmmm wide strips and allow approx. 40mm overlap at each end for folding around the sander base and clamping under the end caps when pressed home.  I trust this assists you?
