How do I use general purpose solder?

Jean from Sevenaoks

says

Hi Jean, you use the S1751 solder exactly the same as any other solder – allow the tip of the soldering iron to heat up and then touch the solder to the tip, if it flows immediately then it is ready to use. The Amtech solder is flux-cored and lead-free, so suitable for a wide range of repairs.
