Hi Jonathan, providing the galvanised wire hasn’t scratched the enamel, then you should be able to remove any marks with a non-abrasive cleaning paste. This item is primarily intended for clearing blockages in sink wastes/ discharge outlet pipes rather than WC’s,  but you should be able to remove the marks fairly easily.
