Should I wet your 8” sharpening stone?

John Tyler from Surrey, England

says

Hi John

carborundum sharpening stones like our E2000 you need to use thin oil like 3 in 1 or similar to lubricate it, but don’t be tempted to give it a spray of water displacement fluid like WD40 or other similar brands.

Hope this helps
