Thanks for the question, The lamp is not waterproof, so not suitable in wet conditions. It can be hung outside on dry evenings or in a location where rain rain will not come into contact with it, and even carried, But due to the battery compartment being underneath any moisture entering can corrode the terminals rendering the light to fail.
