What are the 2 different functions of your 2-in-1 Stubby wrench?
Ishan from Chelsea
I had a question Ishan from Chelsea. He’s seen the two-in-one stubby wrench and wanted to know what the benefits were, over a normal adjustable spanner.
Not only is this one, as the name says, “stubby,” so it gets into awkward spaces, confined spaces. As with all adjustable spanners if you’ve got a hexagon like a nut or a head of a bolt, you have a thumb screw here, very easy to operate. Basically, it’s like having twenty or thirty spanners in your toolkit. You can use just one tool and that tightens up on the hexagon.
The second benefit of this being two-in-one, is that using the thumb screw, you can take off the bottom jaw, reverse it, and then what you have here, is a serrated angled jaw which you can then tighten up, (the same as you would do with the adjustable spanner) onto a piece of steel tube, copper tube, radiator pipe, and you’ve actually retained it and you can then tighten the nut here, and you’ve basically got a third hand that is easy to adjust and grip the pipe.
Hope that’s of assistance. If you head over to amtechdiy.com, you can ask us anything else there.
