Hi, is sounds like possible when you set your personal combination that you did not keep the shackle depressed fully and the lock did not accept your code. The lock would have been supplied closed on the factory default 0000, so must have happened during the recoding process. Without going through 10,000 combinations there is no quick way to reset the lock.
